Brian Puzycki has been around fresh produce his entire life. Brian’s grandfather started selling produce in the Philadelphia area in the 1950’s. His grandfather would work long days and nights to provide for his family and eventually both of Brian’s parents started working for his grandfather helping to run the family business. Looking to continue to grow, Brian’s parents moved to St Petersburg in the late 1980’s and opened up a produce wholesale company on 4th Street North.
Once Brian turned nine years old, he started helping out the family business every day after school. As Brian got older, he realized how much he enjoyed the complex nature of the business as well as discovering unique commodities to bring to their customers.
When Brian saved up enough money, he purchased a small box truck so he could start picking up from the Tampa Produce Market to make deliveries. It wasn’t always easy and he had to work multiple jobs at first to get by, but eventually was able to move into an 800 square foot warehouse located off of Gandy Blvd in St Petersburg.
Brian continued to grow his business over the years by making sure the customer always came first. This passion helped Brian upgrade his warehouse and move to downtown St Petersburg where we currently operate today.
Even though Brian Puzycki’s Farm Fresh Produce has grown over the years, we haven’t forgotten our history and the reasons we got into this industry in the first place. Our mission will continue to be to bring the highest quality produce with a focus on superior customer service to our communities.
